What should I do if one of my Client implementations begins to lose momentum?
The first thing to do is to find out why – well before things reach a crisis point. Then decide whether the problem lies with the Portal design or with the way the Client is using it, or if there is a ‘chemistry’ problem between you and the Client.

Is the My Business Excellence approach ‘mobile friendly’?

Yes and No.

The website has been designed to raise awareness about the My Business Excellence approach and hence is certainly mobile friendly.

However, the Portal has been designed to enable users to interact readily with the full 1-page representations of the 1-page Process Model, the 1-page Strategic Plan, and the three 1-page tables of KPIs.

For this reason, we recommend that any user wishing to interact with the My Business Excellence Portal in any way, use a desk-top computer or laptop.

Are there any special branding requirements applicable to any consultancy with more than one authorised external Pacemaker?

No. Each Pacemaker ‘owns’ the Client relationship with the Enterprises that engage them. All (or most) of the Pacemaker revenues will accrue to the parent consultancy. Use of the My Business Excellence approach will not affect the consultancy’s own branding. The Pacemaker will simply provide due reference to the source of the approach, website and Portal throughout every such engagement.

How do we maintain version control over the 1-page Process Model and 1-page Strategic Plan?
The My Business Excellence Portal will always contain the very latest version of the 1-page Process Model and the 1-page Strategic Plan.

However, if either diagram is printed at any time (via a screen grab), it will be important to add the date of the printout to avoid any confusion relative to the current version.

Is there a limit to the number of Key Business Processes depicted on the 1-page Process Model?

Is there a limit to the number of Key Business Processes depicted on the 1-page Process Model?
Yes.

About 18 is the limit for readability at a reasonable font size for a 1-page diagram. Having more than 16-18 probably means that some of the processes depicted are sub-processes of the organisation’s Key Business Processes and therefore should not be shown. Most organisations have somewhere between 5 and 14 Key Business Processes.

The Client’s total implementation is driven and managed by the Client’s secure Portal.

The Pacemaker’s own secure Portal has 4 main uses:

Familiarise the Pacemaker with the Portal contents and sequences – especially prior to engaging their first Client.
Demonstrate the Portal to any potential Client (via a fully worked example).
Ensure that the Pacemaker always has direct access to all updates for the Portal contents and sequences.
